How do I get pricing on a door?

Do you sell products other than prehung doors?
Yes. We offer door slabs and a limited supply of framing kits in addition to our prehung doors.
Do you offer fiberglass or steel?
We offer both in select styles. Contact your sales representative for additional information.
Are your doors already painted?
Our prehung doors come with a white primer coat.
Can I stain your doors?
Yes. Our fiberglass doors can be stained. We recommend painting our steel options.
Is outdoor temperature important while staining?
Yes. Temperature is extremely important. Poor conditions can cause the stain to flake, fade or have a milky appearance.
Should I take the door off the hinges before finishing?
No. The weatherstripping can be pulled out of the jambs so the door can be closed and locked during drying. Push it back into the jambs after the topcoat has dried.
Can I shut my door if the stain is still wet?

How do I repair nicks, scratches or scuffs in a stained finish?
Clean the area first with mineral spirits or an all-purpose cleaner. Then use a small artist brush or cotton swab to apply stain to the damaged area.
Is there a warranty on your products?
Yes. We offer a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects.
I feel I have a warranty claim. Who should I contact?
If you are an end user, contact the store where you purchased the door product. If you are a seller, contact your sales representative.
Can I put in a storm door?
Yes. American Door Products is not responsible for failure of or damage caused by the storm door, or damage to your door resulting from the storm door.
Will I void the warranty if I install a peep sight, mail slot or pet door?
Our doors are warrantied against manufacturing defects. If you install a peep sight, mail slot or pet door, it must have a water-resistant inner sleeve to protect the door core. Follow the accessory manufacturer's instructions.
Are my hinges covered if they rust?
No. The hinge finish is not warrantied. Consider proximity to salt water when installing.
I broke the glass by impact. Is that covered under warranty?
No. The door is warrantied against manufacturing defects, not damage that has been done to the door.
